In 1926, entrepreneur Niss Oskar Jonsson founded JOFA in Malung with a rich history of leather manufacturing. In 1973 when the Swedish car giant Volvo bought the sports division and kept the JOFA brand, Jonsson shifted the focus entirely to leather clothing and renamed the company Jofama.
